Jeker's banknote submission.

The National Bank of Switzerland invited 14 graphic illustrators to contest for a new series.

The reason for the new series was a need for a new and more complex design against forgeries using new security methods and a new format for bank machines. The theme was culturally interdisciplinary: architecture, music, literature and the graphic arts.

Chosen were six Swiss internationally known personalities. Although the graphic artist W. Jeker delivered the best work, the series from
J. Zintzmeyer was used.
