Bullet coins from Thailand are made of almost pure silver, and marked with the symbols of the reigning dynasty and the ruling king. They all bear the chakra, the sign in the form of a little sun, representing the god Vishnu. The second sign on the coins permits the identification of the ruler – in this case, the mongkut (the Siamese royal crown) indicates that it was King Rama IV (1851-1868) of the dynasty that rules Thailand up to this day.
