Africa, Cowry Imitation from Stone (obverse) Africa, Cowry Imitation from Stone (reverse)

The shells of the cowry snail are the oldest and most widespread traditional currency of all times. Their most important advantage is the fact that, unlike other means of payment, they could not be forged.
