Like many of the euro countries, Slovakia has traditional motifs on its euro coins. The old 20 haliera-coin already bore the image of Kriváň peak in the High Tatras. It is now again depicted on the coins of euro cent coins. With its 2494 meters (8,186 feet) and exceptional form, Kriváň is a major symbol for the Slovakian nation.
