This denarius from the year 81 BC is anonymous, even though the coins of the later Roman Republic usually bore the name of the official responsible for their issue. The coin could have been commissioned by Lucius Cornelius Sulla, who held disctatorship in Rome from 82 to 79 BC.
The obverse depicts Venus, the goddess Sulla had chosen as his personal protectress. The reverse shows two horns of plenty, and below the mint control-mark Q.
