Money Dialogue History of Money
Money is everywhere - but have you ever wondered what it actually is? We have created a money map for you. It shows seven exciting topics: from things you can touch, like coins or materials, to big questions about power, time, society and how we think. With these texts and audios, you can discover how much more there is to money than meets the eye.
The 22 podcasts are based on the texts of Eske Bockelmann, an extraordinary thinker who shows how money has changed our thinking and our society. In his book Im Takt des Geldes (2004), he explains that the introduction of money in the 16th century gave rise to a new, abstract way of thinking - with consequences for culture, music and philosophy. His two works Das Geld (2020) and Money - Understanding Modern Society (2025) offer a unique approach to the topic of money. The podcasts make these complex ideas understandable and invite young people to see and question money and society from a new perspective.
