Daniel Frei and his brothers, Reto and Christian, had an idea: They wanted to take the fringe vegetarian restaurant sector to a new level of style, accessibility, convenience and global diversity. They knew that vegetarian food was more than just steamed carrots. They wanted to make it fun, fast and fashionable. They took part in a business plan competition sponsored by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich, and the consulting firm McKinsey, their concept of healthy, sophisticated vegetarian fast food won top honors. Joining forces with an experienced restaurant entrepreneur, this good idea has been successfully transformed into a robust business, with five locations feeding over 6000 guests per day. For vegetarian Daniel Frei, he has the satisfaction of serving food he believes in.
