Ursula Kampmann, Dr. phil., Curator of the MoneyMuseum‘s book collection und Author for Economic History and Numismatics
Ursula Kampmann, 1964 studied history, numismatics and archaeology at the universities of Munich and Saarbrücken. While finishing her PhD she was already working as specialist for ancient coins in international coin auction houses in Munich, Basel and Zurich. After a 10 year career in the coin trade she decided to become a freelancer.
Today, Ursula Kampmann is one of the internationally best known numismatic authors. She heads a numismatic press agency, is founder and manager of the international bilingual webzine MünzenWoche / CoinsWeekly and is chief editor of the journal for central banks and mints MintWorld.
Ursula Kampman is responsible for acquisitions, conceptualizes exhibitions, writes exhibition catalogues and books. Recently, she became responsible for the historical part of the new podcast project of the MoneyMuseum.
