Finnish 2 euro-coins illustrate a cloudberry. The plant is also known as low-bush salmonberry or as bakeapple, and very rare in Central Europe. It grows mainly in the northern hemisphere, in Scandinavia and also in England and Scotland.

The cloudberry is the symbol of Lapland, a region beyond the polar circle, which partly belongs to Finland.
